A new Government Code of Practice for First Aid has been released from SafeWork SA. The introduction of this Code of Practice has mandated first aid requirement in workplaces throughout South Australia. You must ensure your workplace is compliant as this new code ‘can be used to support prosecution’, which as you will see below has significant impacts.

Outdoor industry first aid courses

Recreation SA, in conjunction with the Red Cross will be running outdoor specific first aid courses. Day two of the courses is set outdoors (marine based or bush/cliff). The training and assessment scenarios are realisitic and will provide the participants with hands on experience in real outdoor settings.
